Turrell J. Beck, DDS

I joined the dental field because I wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. In serving each patient, I am able to learn about their lives and interests, and I see what truly amazing individuals they are. I’ve been practicing dentistry for over 20 years, and the relationships I’ve built with individuals and families are something I treasure.

Each day I get to work with my friendly, well-trained staff, and they are a joy to associate with. Together, we want to provide the best possible care for our patients using the best technology to make each visit relaxed and comfortable. We strive to treat each patient individually and meet their needs and desires while educating them about oral health as it relates to their overall well-being. We want all our patients to be happy and healthy!

Education and Continuing Education

I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. I continued on to dental school, receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I recently completed a year-long study club by Frank Spear studying full mouth restoration.

The dental field is changing rapidly and additional education is mandatory if I am to keep up with all the new techniques, new equipment, and new dental materials available. It is necessary to evaluate all the new products and determine which will benefit my patients. I want to give the best care I can, and that requires having to take the time to attend many continuing education classes.

In the Community

I believe it is very important to be involved in the community where I work and live. I participate in the free dental clinics that are sponsored in the area for children in need of care. I have been involved with the Boy Scouts for 25 years and enjoy seeing the young men grow up and excel in life. Church service is a big part of my life and I am very active and involved serving there.

Outside the Office

I lived in Pleasant Grove, UT, until I was 14 years old when my family and I moved to Alaska. After college, I went into farming with my family and spent 10 years in southern Idaho. After dental school, I chose the Kennewick area to join a practice. The Tri-Cities have been a wonderful place to raise my family. We love the three rivers and the beautiful fall and spring weather, and we are happy that this has become our home.

I am married to Michele and we have four married children, Riley, Keslie, Necia, and Tyson. Most importantly, we have 11 grandchildren (with 1 due in January 2012), the absolute delights of life, and I love playing with them and then sending them home to their parents! When I have free time I enjoy going boating with my family, camping, gardening, and running.
